Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2nd, 1985) is an American actor from the United States. Most famously, she is Molly Solverson from the FX television series Fargo during its initial season, she has received nominations for Emmys & Golden Globes. Tolman was raised with two older siblings as well as one younger. At the beginning of her life, the family of Tolman moved to England. They stayed there until she reached age four. She lived in Oklahoma for five years before moving to Oklahoma and later in West Texas before moving to Sugar Land. When she was ten years old actress, she began acting in the Fort Bend Community Theatre. Clements High School graduated her in 2000. Baylor University gave her a diploma in Bachelor of Fine Arts, Theatre Performance. In Dallas when she graduated from college, she became one of the original founders of Second Thought Theatre. The year 2009 saw her relocated from Chicago, Illinois, to take classes in performance with The Second City Training Center. Career in 2014, Tolman starred in the premiere season of the FX the black comedy crime show Fargo. Fargo is a re-imagining of the 1996 Coen brother's film by the same name. It stars veterans Bob Odenkirk, Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton. Tolman received praise for her performance as Minnesota police officer Molly Solverson, with Vanity Fair saying her that she "calmly and assuredly stole the entire show". Tolman declined character roles as supporting actors such as best friends, parents, spouses and even husbands after her first big role on Fargo. She was looking for a role that was different. Tolman appeared in ABC's Downward Dog in 2017, based on Animal Media Group's online series. It was cancelled following one season. Tolman played a role in the ABC drama Emergence. It premiered on the 24th of September, 2019 and ended after one season which ended on May 21st, 2021. Despite the fact that Tolman tweeted that it was a success with "pretty good" ratings. She was also a guest star on the NBC show Good Girls. She starred in 2021 as Alma Filcott on the second season of Why Women Kill and Natalie Green The Facts of Life, of Live in Front of a Studio Audience the third edition.
